Why did you not study in Singapore?
My father was a business man and the company allocated him to work at the Shanghai HQ. He decided that it will benefit his children if they are being exposed to the Chinese culture and be good in Chinese in the future. And there, I went to China to study at their local school.
Why did you choose to become a vegetarian?
Well, since young I have not liked the taste of meat and I also found it extremely inhumane to murder other living things just for the sake of our appetite. But my parents were against it as they thought that being a vegetarian meant not having enough nutritions. Finally, at the age of 7, they allowed me to go meat-free and since then, I have not been eating any meat.
When did you discover your interest in the field of IT?
While I was in studying in China, they had clubs about computing, it is sort of like CCA in Singapore. So I joined and that was when I first touched about programming. Just to let you know, the first application that I ever worked on is called "Scratch", a simple software to allow kids to create games.
Why do you not showcase more of your projects?
I will definitely showcase the rest of my projects that I have completed, and update any future projects that I will be doing. Currently, I have around 6 more past projects that I am planning to showcase, I am collecting the images and content to showcase. Once done, I will add on to my portfolio. I will have lots more of future projects to showcase too, wait for it to be live!
Will you complete the "Living in Shanghai" section?
Definitely! I am very keen to let everybody know about my 7 years of experience in China, I am currently collecting the images taken in China and writing about a full experience of it. It will be very interesting and benefit people who have not yet been to China and wants to study in China in the future or let their kids study in China in the future.
